Join Washington Kayak Club and Seattle Adventure Sports for a First Aid Class Specific to WKC. We’ll cover CPR, AED use, and Basic First Aid as it applies to paddlers in all realms. You’ll receive a First Aid/CPR Manual for future reference, and an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR & First Aid eCard, good for 2 years.

First Aid topics covered:

  • Scene Size Up and Safety

  • Environmental Emergencies (hypothermia, bites/stings, exposure)

  • Allergies

  • Medical Emergencies (allergies, stroke, heart attack, diabetes, seizures)

  • Trauma Emergencies (bleeding control, spinal injuries, broken bones, strains/sprains, shock)

  • CPR

  • AED

  • Choking

When: Saturday, March 7th 10-2pm
