Introduction to Paddlesports

Welcome.  Whether this is your first time on the water or a refresher to blow off the cobwebs, this session will lay the groundwork for a potential lifetime of paddling – a solid foundation is a must, and this fun session is all about building confidence and comfort on the water.  We’ll work towards the basic skills that will prepare you to handle any human powered craft- and enjoy it!  Paddling is about safely enjoying a great activity- and that is what we’ll empower you to do.

We’ll supply the canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and other craft, along with all the accessories needed to have a great time. You’ll bring enthusiasm and a smile, and together we’ll explore a great new pastime!

Your day will run no matter what the weather is doing.  One of our internationally certified Instructors will carefully plan your day to ensure that you learn LOADS, have huge amounts of FUN and stay SAFE at all times.  Every day is slightly different, as our instructors do there best to meet your specific needs within a safe framework and taking in to consideration the weather.

This is a adventure by choice program, which means that there is no 100% need to fall into the water….. however you will be in a canoe or kayak, in-charge of your own stability and fall in can happen by occasions.

Please bring with you for your program,

Light weight Waterproof Coat
Old Shoes / Gym Shoes
Complete change of clothes (no denim or cotton please)
Towel
Hat / Sun hat
Drinks
Snacks
Sun Screen
Any needed medication
